The Barcode Battler was an original Handheld Electronic Game released by Epoch in 1992.

The Barcode Battler was supplied with a few cards, each having a barcode. When starting the game the player swiped the barcode which represented a player. The Barcode Battler used barcodes to create a character for the player to use. However, not all barcodes worked as a player, some represented enemies or power ups at random. Although the Barcode Battler was supplied with a few barcodes, users were encouraged to find their own from everyday objects to help with the game.
